Should I take Prompt to Production or Vibe Coding for Digital Builders?

Take Prompt to Production if you've already built something with ChatGPT, Gemini, Lovable, or a similar tool and want to work the way engineers do: in the terminal, with Git and GitHub pull requests, shipping a web app to a live URL with Claude or Codex. If you haven't used an AI building tool yet, start with Vibe Coding for Digital Builders. If you already use the terminal and GitHub every day, skip ahead to Agentic Engineering.

Course Overview

Prompt to Production is a two-day workshop for people who've built something with ChatGPT, Gemini, Lovable, or another vibe coding tool and want to work like an engineer. You'll learn the terminal, Git, and GitHub, build a web app with Claude or Codex, and ship it to a GitHub repository and a live URL.

Lesson Outcomes

By the end, you can:

  • Use the terminal to navigate your filesystem, install and run command line apps, and manage your project

  • Understand Git terminology, and make use of Git and GitHub to host your code and run automations

  • Pair with Claude or Codex, and review what it writes before you keep it

  • Open a pull request, review a change, and merge it

  • Build a database-driven web app running on your laptop, then hosted at a live URL

Curriculum

Four sessions across two days.

Session 1: Foundations

  • Terminal, Git, and VS Code or Cursor

  • Write a small script with Claude or Codex, then commit it

Session 2: Build a small app

  • Plan the app, then build it with AI

  • Debug until it runs, and write a README

Session 3: Pull requests

  • Push to GitHub, open a PR, and review someone else's

  • Read the diff before you merge

Session 4: Ship it

  • Deploy the app to a live URL

  • Keep secrets out of the repo

What people say about our courses

This was one of the most engaging and practical training sessions I've attended. The trainer explained concepts clearly, encouraged active participation, and shared real-world examples that made the learning immediately applicable.

Sessions have been great, they are flexible and allow for a lot of creativity. We always practise what we learn by building mini apps, which has helped the steep learning curve feel less steep.

Vibe-coding opens up the opportunity for us to create solutions for our personal pain points.

Great workshop session with lots of examples shared, and time set aside to try out the various tools
