Course Overview
Tinkercademy runs this hands-on module for SMU Academy’s Industry Practice Master of Digital Economy. Participants learn the building blocks of digital making through coding concepts and ESP32 microcontrollers, then create connected prototypes that respond to sound, touch, and light.
Lesson Outcomes
Understand what “digital making” is, and how it applies to modern prototyping with electronics
Appreciate the world of “Internet of Things” by sending sensor data online for practical applications

Learn to program ESP32 microcontrollers
Connect a variety of input sensors and output devices to microcontrollers, and control them through code
