We ran this 24-hour course in 2025 for primary schools under IMDA's LEARN Roadmaps, delivered under our partner Zenitant Pte Ltd. Students programmed the micro:bit in block-based MakeCode and used it to control servos, LED strips, and buzzers, on PCs, Macs, iPads, or Chromebooks. This page describes that run. ## Course Overview

Digital Making with micro:bit is a 24-hour course that introduces primary school students to coding and electronics with the micro:bit, a pocket-sized programmable microcontroller. Students program it in MakeCode, a block-based language, and practise computational thinking by wiring up components that move (servos), light up (LED strips), and make noise (buzzers).

## Details

[Zenitant](https://zenitanteducation.com/) is a fellow Microsoft Global Training Partner, with whom we partnered to offer these courses to primary schools in 2025. Through our close collaboration, we have brought the annual 3d-tronics Micro-controller Challenge from 2018 to 2022. Please note that for the microcontroller course, schools needed to have their own micro:bit kits.
