Course Overview

Back-end web development is a term used for behind-the-scenes activities when an action is performed on a website. Participants will learn how to set up a Laravel app from scratch, combining this with an SQL database and a React front-end to create a full-stack database-driven web application.

Lesson Outcomes

Understand how front- and back-end web technologies work together
Read, write, and program Node.JS JavaScript on the server
Install, set up and deploy a Node-based project using the Express framework
Work with the React front-end framework in JavaScript to create front-end interactive modules
Use and create application programming interfaces (APIs) to serve and access data
Deploy a full-stack web app online
