This course is designed to introduce students to the micro:bit micro-computer through hands-on projects and programming using MakeCode. The projects range from creating simple games, digital compass, environmental data collection systems, smart plant watering systems, IoT weather stations, energy-saving smart lamp posts, reaction and dice games, LED animations, to building mechanical automata and a T-Rex model. It emphasizes coding practices, utilization of sensors and actuators, and introduces students to IoT technologies, data analysis, and automation tools like ThingSpeak and IFTTT. The course provides a comprehensive understanding of micro:bit’s functionality through practical applications, encouraging problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration among students.
